How to Uninstall Astute Beta Server (and Clean Up Completely)
Uninstall it from Android’s app settings, delete the APK and any leftover folders, remove any VPN profile it created, and switch off the unknown-app permission you gave your browser. Your main Free Fire account is not affected by uninstalling.
How to Uninstall Astute Beta Server
Step 1: Uninstall the app
- Settings → Apps → Astute Beta Server.
- Tap Uninstall and confirm.
If you can’t uninstall it, check Settings → Security → Device admin apps and Accessibility. If it’s listed there, turn that off first.
Step 2: Delete leftover files
- Open your file manager and delete the APK from Downloads.
- Check for leftover folders, such as in Android/data or Android/obb. Some phones restrict these folders. If you can’t reach them, uninstalling usually clears app data.
Step 3: Remove the VPN profile
If the app set up a VPN connection:
- Settings → Network → VPN.
- Remove any entry that belongs to it.
Step 4: Turn off the install permission
- Settings → Apps → Special access → Install unknown apps.
- Switch it off for the browser or file manager you used.
Step 5: Scan the phone
Run Google Play Protect (Play Store → profile icon → Play Protect → Scan) to check for anything unexpected.
Step 6: Protect your accounts
- If you ever typed your Free Fire password or recovery codes into the app or a related page, change that password now and review your login methods.
- Check your account for activity you don’t recognize.
- You don’t need to do anything for a guest account you only used inside the app.
Will uninstalling affect my main account?
No. Your main Free Fire account and the official game stay as they are. The guest account used in Astute is separate, so you may lose it.
Reinstalling later
If you reinstall, download the latest version from the download page and register your UID again. See How to unlock.
