How to Update Astute Beta Server to the Latest Version

Astute Beta Server doesn’t update automatically, because it isn’t on Google Play. To update, download the newest APK and install it over your current version. The latest version is v2.133.1 (OB55).


When you need to update

  • A Free Fire update has been released and the app stops connecting
  • The app crashes or shows errors it didn’t before
  • Login fails (see Login failed 400)
  • This site lists a newer version than yours

An outdated version is the first thing to rule out whenever the app misbehaves.

Check your version

  1. Open the app and look for a version number on the main or settings screen.
  2. Or open Settings → Apps → Astute Beta Server → App details (some phones show the version at the bottom).
  3. Compare it with the latest version.

Update steps

  1. Go to the download page and download the latest APK.
  2. Check the size. It should be close to the figure listed there.
  3. Open the downloaded file and tap Install.
  4. Android will ask whether to update the existing app. Tap Update or Install.
  5. Open the app and log in with your guest account.
  6. If it asks you to activate again, follow How to unlock.

Do I need to uninstall first?

Usually not. The new version normally replaces the old one. Uninstall first only if:

  • The update fails with “App not installed”
  • The app crashes after the update
  • You get repeated login errors that other fixes didn’t cure

Uninstalling removes local app data, so you may need to register your UID again. See How to uninstall.

Why updates are manual

The Play Store handles automatic updates for listed apps. APKs installed from outside don’t get this, so you must check yourself. Bookmark the download page and look at the changelog after each Free Fire update.

Beware of fake update prompts

  • Don’t update from pop-ups, “update available” pages, or messages from strangers.
  • Only update from the correct version.
  • Be wary of any update that asks for new permissions. See Permissions.
